I have made a LOT of tacos in the last 12 years of being with Tom, but I very rarely eat them with him. When this category came up as number two in the "Best Of" series I remembered my favorite variation on the taco because I actually can get sick of eating them pretty easily.
The recipe is for Vegetarian Taco Ramekins and you can find it
here and take a look at the finished product...
After perusing my blog I realized that I REALLY need to make some tacos for me that I will actually like, since I have never done that!
Is there some dish that you have cooked so many times you had to take a break from it for a while?
Yes! I make this salad with cucumbers, grape tomatoes, avocados and balsamic dressing. I go through phases where I eat it 3-4 times a week, then get sick of it and take a break. Tacos sound great!
ReplyDeleteI just checked out the recipe - they look tasty!
ReplyDeleteBelieve it or not, I sometimes get sick of bacon and eggs :) Now I want some tacos!
ReplyDeleteThat is so interesting - never would have thought of that! If I visit, Tom and I can have a taco, hot sauce night! :D

ReplyDeleteWow you know how to make me slobber first thing in the morning (fun fact: it's 6 am and I'm about to go to bed-my sched is wack)! That topping mixture especially is making the salivary glands go wild. Girl you gotsa make some Rhonda friendly tacos since you cook them so much! What would make them good to you?
ReplyDeleteI've always wanted to try to make my own carnitas tacos, I should make a point to do that :)
DeleteI love this taco-in-a-ramekin idea! Looks fabulous.
ReplyDeleteThis looks fabulous!I'm glad you can finally make some tacos for yourself ;)
ReplyDeleteHi Rhonda - I've tried to email you several times to let you know you won the tortilla chips on my blog giveaway but the email comes back. Would you please send me your address so I can get them in the mail? Congrats! They are delicious. cathrnfrly@aol.com
ReplyDeleteOh, those do look so good! You must make some tacos just for yourself girl!! One thing I try over and over is chicken and dumplings. I cannot for the life of me make dumplings, so I keep trying until I get sick of it. Then I try again a few months later...lol!
ReplyDeleteJust found your blog through Biz's site and I love it. I eat alone a lot, too, due to a picky eater husband. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a unique way to eat tacos! Love your idea.
ReplyDeleteAnd you got a very good question that made me think... I think I try to rotate many recipes so I don't really have to cook the same food as much... however, I *just* found one. Grilled cheese panini for my kids... Please give me a break! =P
I once found a really great recipe for cornish game hens with wild rice stuffing. We loved them so much that I made them four times in the first month! Then we had them at least once a month for a year or so. I haven't made those in probably three years. But ironically a co worker mentioned them today and I think I'll make them for Brad and I next week! They are so fun and festive. You should try them if you haven't. Perfect for one person!
