Favorite Things #22 - Ice Cream Attachment for Kitchenaid Mixer
Thanks to my brother I have an awesome Kitchenaid stand mixer. Thanks to my husband I have an awesome ice cream making attachment for it. I finally gave it a try this past weekend because it was 106 in Arizona! I made a strawberry buttermilk ice cream and it turned out so creamy and delicious. The strawberries were so fresh and full of flavor.
It runs quietly and the ice cream was done in about a half an hour, I am in love and want to make a ton of flavors.

My kitchen aid mixer is from 1986 - still runs awesome though!

Homemade ice cream is the best. Strawberry is my favorite flavor.

ReplyDeleteLucky you to have a kitchen aid and now you can make ice cream too. My favorite ice cream has to be cinnamon, I've once made according to Thomas Keller's recipe. It's heaven on earth! Have a nice weekend!

ReplyDeleteIsn't this a clever thing. I have a kitchenaid but I also have a flip the switch ice cream maker that I don't have to remember to freeze the bowl. Nothing is more frustrating than deciding it's time to make the ice cream that's chilling in the fridge only to realize someone (me) forgot to freeze the bowl.

ReplyDeleteWell you have convinced me. I have had that kitchenaid mixer ice cream maker attachment on my amazon wishlist for years! But I was never quite sure if it was worth it, and I never knew of anyone who had one that could tell me how awesome it was. I have to have it now. Just like another of your posts compelled me to finally order the microplane on my wishlist and I use that thing almost daily. Amazon owes you a giftcard at least!
