Honey Pecan Pork

It is election night here in the US. I don't talk politics on my blog so this recipe is going to be for everyone. If your choice won you can call this sweet relief. If your choice lost, you can take out your frustration by pounding the heck out of some pork chops. Either way you have to eat so you might as well eat something delicious!

Lets get some ingredients together and get started, you won't be cooking for long with this meal.

Take some flour and season it with some salt and pepper.

Some delicious pecans.

I adore pecans, and didn't really know how much until I made this recipe.

Some honey.

Some butter, or a lot of butter, either one.

Finally, some pork chops. Place them between 2 pieces of plastic wrap and pound the heck out of them with a mallet, heavy pan or rolling pin. I bet you feel a little better now?

When you have them pretty flat it is time to start cooking.

Drop your butter in the pan and get it melting. Dredge your pork in the seasoned flour.

Brown up your chops and cook them for about 5 minutes on each side. Remove the pork chops to some foil to keep them warm.

Add in the pecans and the honey. Use a wooden spoon to scrape up all the tasty bits from the bottom of the pan. Pour this honey-nut deliciousness over the pork and you are ready to eat.

I served this with more peas, mushrooms and shallots as made in my previous post.
