There is a local Mexican restaurant here called Mucho Gusto and they used to have some of the very best food in the East Valley in the Phoenix area. Recently I have heard that they haven't been putting out the same quality of food, but back in the day I used to love this Tequila Chicken that they would have on special most days.
The chicken was super moist with a creamy tequila sauce and served with New Mexican mashed potatoes and sauteed veggies. It was heavenly. Tom was enjoying a steak and a big caeser salad.
What is your favorite way to enjoy chicken?
I haven't had Mexican food for a while (maybe 1.5 weeks haha) and you make me want to eat some. New Mexican mashed potatoes? That sounds delicious!
ReplyDeleteYummy, it's amazing all the wonderful things you can do with chicken. I would have a hard time deciding what's my favorite! I like it all doctored up but also simple and fresh on the grill with just a bit of rosemary lemon seasoning salt and freshly ground pepper.
ReplyDeleteThat is one delicious plate of food! Chicken is so versatile that I have a hard time picking a favorite dish. Sorry! Have a great day. Blessings...Mary
ReplyDeleteI love chicken all way, except maybe burnt...lol! The tequila chicken sounds good, I love mexican food. Your lucky to live where you do and can get authentic mexican food. I just did some chicken in the crockpot for fajitas, it turned out yummy.
ReplyDeleteWOw that sounds awesome! I'm especially loving the sound of a creamy tequila sauce. Swoon.
ReplyDeleteThat looks delicious - I don't think I've ever had a creamy tequila sauce - wtf?! Sans the onions though. :D
ReplyDeleteIs Tom wearing a Chicago Bears shirt??!!
It is actually a Chicago cubs shirt. He was born in Palatine and is a cubs fan - SORRY! haha
DeleteWhat are New Mexican Mashed Potatoes? The chicken sounds great. I don't know...I guess I like it in enchiladas!
ReplyDeleteI am not really sure what makes them 'new mexican' but they are really tasty, savory and spicy!
DeleteEverything looks delish. It is so nice to have a place to go that you can rely on the food. Blessings dear. Catherine xo
ReplyDeleteHello! Thank you for stopping by and taking the time to comment on my scones earlier this week :)
ReplyDeleteLet's see...the best thing I ever ate??? Oh gosh, I don't think I could answer that! There are so many things I enjoy. But, I can answer my favorite way to enjoy chicken. Brined and fried...not the healthiest but certainly the most delicious!! :D
Well, it was a pleasure to visit you!
Toodles for now,
