I haven't been doing much cooking, or much of anything except reading this book! I discovered this series by randomly perusing Instagram last week. (my name is Wiliger on there if you want to add me)
I am loving this book and can't stop reading it! Luckily this is a series so I have a lot more reading ahead of me. The premise is a little strange, a woman travels through time from 1945 back to the 18th century and falls in love with an outlaw. I am usually not too into books with much of a romance plot but there is a lot of adventure and intrigue as well so I am really enjoying it.
Has anyone else read this series? What are you reading right now?
i've read the whole series per a recommendation from a friend. honestly, it's not my genre of books, but i could not put these down. they're so fun and you get so invested in the characters. enjoy!
ReplyDeleteI've heard that this is a great book!
ReplyDeleteI hope to read this one soon :D

If you can't put it down then it sounds like a must read!
ReplyDeleteI can't even remember the last time I read a book cover to cover - I mostly read blogs now! :D
ReplyDeleteThe ones you can't put down are the best! I am reading a book about military dogs right now. It's good but, also a tear-jerker.
ReplyDeleteWhen I first read Outlander, there were only 2 or 3 in the series. How lucky my family was, because I became completely absorbed inthem. When a new one would come out my kids (teens) would moan that for 2-3 days they would have to make their own dinner :)These books are LONG and I would read them straight through. These are my all time favorite books. They bring history alive and you feel like the characters are people you know. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteI am already totally hooked and only on the 2nd book :)
DeleteI LOVE the Outlander books! My Mom gave me the first 4 to read and I struggled to get past the time travel aspect. She told me to read just until Jamie first appeared and then she'd understand if I wasn't it to it. I couldn't put it down! Every time I hear another one is coming out, I read them all again. My ancestry is Scotish and these reads were what made me proud of it. I adore Jamie Fraser. These are most definitely my favorite books of all time.
ReplyDeleteMy husband's family is from Scotland as well and he happens to be a red head, just like Jamie :)
