Best Thing I Ever Ate - Fast Food

In Arizona we are fortunate to have a lot of variety in restaurants, including fast food. I know that some of you are going to freak that I didn't choose In n' Out, since so few people can get it where they live. But this is not just about the hamburger, it is about the whole meal. I prefer Five Guys because there is a lot more variety and I like the fries better. Plus, you get to munch on peanuts while you wait for your food. We recently got a Culver's Butter Burger here and it is right up there at the top of the list too, but I am sticking with Five Guys as my favorite if I have to get fast food.

Five guys

What is your favorite fast food place??

  1. That looks so good! I wish we had a Five Guys! Our favorite locally is Freddy's - have you tried them? Excellent burgers, frozen custard to die for. Mike is attending a late meeting this afternoon, then picking Freddy burgers up on his way home. :) Happy times.

  3. I don't know of any of the places that you posted. Those burgers look great though! If I had to choose fast food it would be A & W though. My son used to work there and he'd sometimes bring me a burger to work fresh off the grill...yum!

  6. I had heard all the hype about Five Guys before they got to our little burg of Columbia Missouri. After the initial excitement (lines winding around the building) we tried it. Oh, my. The best burger and fries that will ever cross your lips. I have read that they don't even have a freezer, so everything is fresh that day. It's not cheap for a burger and fries, so we go there for an occasional lunch or super date. Totally worth it.

  7. A Five Guys just opened up not too far away from me and I haven't tried their burgers yet. Everybody raves about them so will get there one day soon.

  8. I have never even heard of Five Guys. Sad how there are barely any fast food places in Canada. But one of my favorites is this little window in the bottom floor of my university. It sells burgers and fries, and it is very cheap and very good.

  10. I love Five Guys, especially because a) their food is always fresh, and b) they tell you where that day's potatoes came from. That's just cool.

I also love In-n-Out Burger, and wish we had one here! It would be nice to have the choice.

Same with Culver's, which I've only experienced once (OK, twice) on this spring's trip to Wisconsin for the NCAA hockey regional tournament.

My usual "fast food" stop, though, is Wendy's. It's only when I want a serious burger and am willing to pay extra for it -- but not the $11 that a "gourmet burger" goes for -- that I'll head to Five Guys.
