I thought I would take a break from food this Sunday to share some things around here.
First of all it is warm and sunny here in AZ.
The dogs are enjoying the yard and the temperatures. Soon it will be blazing hot, not that they mind that either.
I have been getting a lot more local food lately as a year round indoor farmer's market has opened in Tempe, AZ. I got this delicious local honey there and enjoyed some on a local roll last night.
We are lucky in AZ to have baseball almost year round. The hubby and I have been going to some Spring Training games and it has been a lot of fun being outside AND taking some days off of work.
Finally, I'd like to tell you about something I participate in called Chemo Angels.
The basics of the program is you are given a patient going through IV Chemotherapy and you are their 'angel' through the process. There are different levels of 'angeling' you can do. I am a card angel, so I send my patient a card once or twice a week and every once in a while a small gift. There is also a higher level where you send a gift weekly. They really need people right now as the economic issues we are all facing has caused some people to have to leave the program. If you can afford a few stamps a week and the cost of some cards/stationary, I would really recommend you give the program a shot. I have really enjoyed doing it.

Finally I will end with another great owl find...
This cute purple tote bag was at Big Lots and I had to grab it. I love purple and I love owls so it was made for me!
I hope you all are having a great weekend!!
