Favorite Things #39 - Relaxing

We are gearing up for our trip to the Netherlands next week so I am going to be pretty absent from the blogging world for a while. I will try to get one more post in before we go, but I haven't been cooking much and my brain is definitely elsewhere as we plan our vacation.

But all the planning will be worth it when I see this...

BINK! my favorite

This is my favorite beer (Bink) on the table at In de Wildeman in Amsterdam. Sitting here and people watching is one of the best things about being on vacation, just being able to sit back and relax and watch the world go by.

What is your favorite way to relax on vacation?

  1. that beer looks delicious! i love having no schedule and just doing whatever, and of course sampling the local cuisine. the neurotic in me comes out and i compulsively research the local eats before i go anywhere. have a great trip - looking forward to reading about it!

  3. I'm so jealous right now! My friend just spent there for 3 weeks vacationing and I have seen their pictures. I wish I can get to visit one day! I bet you are so excited. I love pre-travel excitement! :)

  5. You are going to have such a great time! I hope your low-carbing was successful enough to warrant MUCH eating of cheese and bread!

  6. So excited for you!! My husband isn't very active, so he usually sits at the bar - I wander around, come back have a drink, etc. - it works for us!
